I knew we were going to have issues because of my endometriosis, but never did I expect to hear less than 1%. After the nurse said that, I felt like I was going to barf. I have no clue what she said after that. We signed papers to get referred, walked out while trying not to break down, sat in the car and just stared off. I was numb.
I am using this space as a therapy tool (cheaper than a psychiatrist), as a place to inform and help others going through infertility, as well as a tool to update family and friends.

Less than 1%... BARF!
On October 20th, 2010 Nick & I were told to go home- that we had less than 1% chance of having a baby. I am assuming she meant naturally and that any further inseminations would not work. Before this appointment, Nick & I tried 3 inseminations with no success. We had been trying to start a family since June of 2009. The Dr. referred us to Iowa City. I could not look at Nick- I could not bear to see the hurt in his eyes or on his face. My heart was breaking and I could not handle anymore...
